We are seeking a Senior Backend Java Developer with 7–9 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and related technologies.
• Build secure, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, specifications, estimates, and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and product stakeholders.
• Develop integrations using Kafka, Oracle, MongoDB, and other enterprise technologies.
• Create automated unit, integration, API, performance, and resiliency tests.
• Participate in code reviews and promote sound engineering, security, and documentation practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot production issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration defects.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to other developers.
• Follow Agile/Scaled Agile practices and established SDLC processes.
Required Qualifications
• 7–9 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate, JSON, XML, SQL, and relational databases.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Rest Assured, Selenium, or comparable testing tools.
• Experience with API security, error handling, logging, and API documentation.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development practices.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-documented code.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical delivery within a development team.
• Experience with Kafka, MongoDB, Oracle Database, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with performance, resiliency, and load testing.
• Experience with cloud platforms and observability tools.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript or React for backend-to-frontend integration.
• Experience mentoring developers and influencing technical direction.
