Location: Beaverton, Oregon (Onsite)
Duration: 3-month Contract
Role Overview
We are seeking an individual who is dedicated to creating world-class training apparel and understands product excellence. This role involves managing and overseeing the product creation process for training athletes. The position requires influencing internal and external partners, collaborating within a triad team, and staying connected to sports and sport lifestyle trends. The ideal candidate will think ambitiously, overcome obstacles, and implement strategies to benefit the athlete.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the product creation for training apparel, from elite to everyday athletes.
- Lead product and design reviews and participate in cross-functional meetings.
- Define and drive a product vision and strategy that resonates at retail.
- Connect with merchandising at key strategy check-ins.
- Create compelling visual tools to influence design, merchandising, and geography partners.
- Work with design and merchandising to enable clear storytelling for consumers.
- Partner with sports marketing and consumers to gather insights and secure product approval.
- Navigate unclear situations and establish a clear path forward for the cross-functional team.
- Hold the team accountable for meeting deadlines and delivering quality work.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum required years of experience: 5+ YOE in Global Product Merchandising
- Experience in global product creation for training apparel
- Existing product or merchandising experience
- Experience in high cross functionality with large teams
- Software/technical requirements: Proficient in keynote, excel, Miro,
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Retail Merchandising, Business, or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training is required.
Experience: A minimum of six years of relevant experience in product-related roles is necessary. Experience in global product creation for training apparel and working with large, cross-functional teams is also required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Keynote and Excel is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Miro or similar tools.
- Knowledge of internal product creation systems and processes.
- Product management experience and knowledge in performance apparel.
- A personal interest or experience in training and fitness.
