Job Summary**

The Field Engineer 2 will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of GE Precision Healthcare medical equipment at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety.

Job Responsibilities**

* Perform complex installations, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs on a wide range of GE Precision Healthcare imaging and diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to X-ray, MRI, CT, and Ultrasound systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using advanced diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals.
* Provide timely and effective technical support to customers, resolving issues efficiently and minimizing downtime.
* Conduct quality assurance tests and calibrations to ensure equipment meets manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
* Document all service activities accurately and completely in GE's service management system, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
* Train customers on proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting techniques.
* Maintain a strong understanding of GE Precision Healthcare product lines, updates, and service procedures.
* Adhere to all GE EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) policies and procedures, as well as customer site safety protocols.
* Manage a territory and schedule service calls effectively to meet response time targets and customer expectations.
* Collaborate with sales, applications, and technical support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with technology and industry standards.

Job Qualifications**

* Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent military experience.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience servicing complex medical imaging or diagnostic equipment.
* Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
* Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills and proficiency with various test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters).
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
* Proficient with computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite and service management applications.
* Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel extensively within a designated service territory, including overnight stays as required.
* Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and perform tasks requiring physical dexterity.
* Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., FDA, HIPAA) in a healthcare environment is a plus.

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $74,160.00-$111,240.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
