Our client, a leader in hardware development and testing, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Mechanical Engineering Support team supporting hardware testing, validation, and data collection activities. The ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Support hardware development by assembling test fixtures and modifying prototype hardware using 3D-printed and machined components.
  • Operate and maintain mechanical, thermal, and structural test equipment to conduct various testing procedures.
  • Collect, organize, and verify detailed test data, ensuring measurement accuracy and data integrity.
  • Create clear and comprehensive test reports, documenting procedures, observations, and results for engineering review.
  • Review mechanical drawings, CAD models, and schematics to support testing activities and create simple models or fixtures as needed.

What's Needed?

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience.
  • Experience operating mechanical test equipment in laboratory, manufacturing, or product development environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data entry, formulas, and charting.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and datasheets accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to follow precise test procedures.
