Role Summary
The Network Architect will serve as the primary network subject matter expert during a critical coverage period, ensuring continuity, stability, and strategic direction across the enterprise network environment. This role has a direct impact on business operations by maintaining and evolving the network architecture that supports stores, distribution centers, and data centers.
In this role, you will guide network design decisions, support day to day architectural needs, and help the organization standardize and stabilize its network landscape. You will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure the network can support new technologies and business initiatives while remaining secure, scalable, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the network Subject Matter Expert supporting enterprise wide architecture decisions
• Architect, maintain, and optimize hub and spoke, SD WAN, and LAN network designs
• Oversee network switching, wireless access points, and connectivity for stores and distribution centers
• Support and advise on data center network architecture and integration
• Develop and maintain reference architectures and network standards
• Collaborate with security, store operations, application development, and warehouse systems teams
• Evaluate emerging technologies and ensure network readiness for new business initiatives
Key Requirements
• 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in enterprise network architecture or engineering
• Deep expertise in hub and spoke networks, SD WAN, LAN, and large scale network environments
• Hands on experience with Cisco routers and switches, Meraki routers, switches, and access points
• Experience with Palo Alto SD WAN, Prisma VPN, GlobalProtect, and firewall placement at the edge
• Proven ability to design and support networks for large distribution centers and multi store environments
• Strong architectural thinking with a focus on standardization, stability, and scalability
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non technical audiences
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to balance priorities and work effectively across teams
