Job Description
We are seeking an experienced NoSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Oracle Linux Automation Manager (OLAM). The ideal candidate will have experience administering and automating NoSQL database platforms in both Linux VM and Kubernetes environments.
The current environment primarily uses Neo4j and StarDog, so experience with either or both is highly preferred.
Must-Have Skills
- NoSQL Database Administration — Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Neo4j, StarDog, SingleStore, etc.
- Ansible automation and playbook development
- Oracle Linux Automation Manager (OLAM)
- Strong Linux administration
- Kubernetes
- Hands-on NoSQL cluster administration in production and non-production environments
- Database provisioning, upgrades, patching, migration, troubleshooting, and break/fix support
- Experience with database automation on Linux VM and Kubernetes
Required Experience
- 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor''''s degree, or 8+ years with a Master''''s degree.
- Strong experience designing, maintaining, and administering NoSQL databases on Linux VM and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on Ansible automation and OLAM playbook development.
- Experience with NoSQL database provisioning, installation, upgrades, patching, and ongoing DBA administration.
- Strong understanding of database architecture, clustering, replication, and multi-datacenter configurations
