What you'll be doing:

• Select, install, configure, and integrate hardware and software to meet demanding program requirements under technical leadership.
• Document and automate systems-administration procedures; partner with engineering and test teams to streamline test activities.
• Apply industry-leading best practices across Windows, Linux, and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
• Design and implement security solutions that satisfy customer mandates while preserving peak program performance, and devise mitigations for any residual risk.
• Perform day-to-day administration of ACL information systems, including health monitoring, troubleshooting, Microsoft patch management, and anti-virus definition updates.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of government-furnished equipment incorporated into our information systems.

• You are a self-starter with proven experience in systems administration across heterogeneous environments (Windows, Linux, VMware).
• You are proficient in scripting/automation-especially Python-to streamline processes and support test activities.
• You are knowledgeable about industry best practices for system monitoring, security, and performance optimization.
• You are detail-oriented, capable of documenting procedures and maintaining precise equipment inventories.
• You are an effective communicator who can collaborate seamlessly with engineers, scientists, and technical leadership.
• You hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience and possess an active security clearance.

Basic Qualifications

* In-depth systems administration experience with Linux
* Demonstrated track record of successfully designing/installing new systems or adding significant new functionality to existing systems
* Network Administration - Ethernet switching, TCP/IP subnetting & routing (static & dynamic)
* Strong troubleshooting skills.
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Current final Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SCI access; applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Desired skills

Experience with or interest in developing skills in the following technical areas:
* In-depth systems administration experience with Windows (including Active Directory)
* Experience administering OpenStack
* Windows/Linux Integration - Services for Unix/Subsystem for Unix-based Applications, NFS, and Samba
* Network Administration - DHCP, DNS
* Scripting/Automation - Python, bash, Windows PowerShell, Puppet, Chef, Ansible
* Administering systems accredited under RMF (NISPOM and/or ICD 503)
* COMSEC inline network encryptors (e.g., KG-175 family)
* Adjacent facilities concerns - three phase power distribution, chilled water cooling systems, copper and fiber plant cabling

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $80,600 - $139,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
