Position Summary  

As a Software Development Manager at LCPtracker, you will lead multiple engineering teams responsible for delivering and operating our Azurehosted SaaS platform. You will balance people leadership, technical oversight, and delivery execution, ensuring teams ship highquality, secure, and reliable software. You’ll partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Platform teams to execute roadmaps, improve delivery practices, and raise the bar on engineering excellence using Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructureascode. LCPtracker is evolving toward an AIfirst development approach, and this role will help teams responsibly adopt AIassisted tools to improve productivity, quality, and speed. 

 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Lead and develop multiple software engineering teams, including internal and outsourced contributors 

  • Own delivery outcomes, including predictability, quality, and operational health 

  • Partner with Product to translate business goals into prioritized Azure DevOps backlogs 

  • Collaborate with Architects and peers on Azurebased, cloudnative design standards 

  • Guide teams using: 

  • CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment 

  • Infrastructure as Code for environment provisioning and consistency 

  • Azure DevOps for repositories, pipelines, and work tracking 

  • Drive adoption of an AIfirst development approach, where AI is intentionally integrated into how software is designed, built, tested, and maintained 

  • Support and govern the effective use of AIassisted development tools for coding, testing, review, and documentation 

  • Ensure AIenabled practices are applied responsibly, securely, and in alignment with regulatory and quality standards 

  • Promote modern engineering practices around code quality, testing, security, observability, and reliability 

  • Coach engineers, support career growth, and foster a healthy, accountable team culture

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience 

  • 8+ years building SaaS products 

  • 8+ years of handson software development experience, including significant coding experience in the Microsoft technology stack (e.g., C#, .NET/.NET Core, SQL Server, Azurebased services) 

  • 3+ years leading software engineering teams 

  • Demonstrated ability to remain technically handson enough to review code, guide design decisions, and mentor engineers 

  • Experience building and operating applications on Microsoft Azure in production environments 

  • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and Azure DevOps 

  • Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments 

 

Nice to have: 

  • Experience adopting AIfirst or AIassisted development practices 

 

Work Environment 

This position performs its duties from our Orange, CA office. This position operates in a professional office environment and role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, mobile devices, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

 

Physical Requirements 

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk and hear, use hands and fingers to type, scroll and use computer equipment. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection of text/data in both print and electronic forms. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds. 

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time exempt position. Days/hours worked are dependent on the workload at the time. General availability and presence in the office is expected during regular business hours Monday-Friday. However, some flexibility is allowed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 

 

Travel 

There is no major travel requirement for this position. However, infrequent travel may be necessary to visit remote office(s), attend conferences/industry events, etc. Attendance at our corporate Staff Retreat is required. This event is a 2-3-day retreat.  Attendance at our annual User Conference as assigned. 

 

Salary Range 

The salary range is $150,000.00-$170,000.00 annually. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
