Systems Engineer (Level 3/4)

St. Charles, MO
Position Overview

Seeking Systems Engineers to support advanced aerospace and defense programs. This role will work across multidisciplinary teams to develop, manage, and verify system requirements for complex weapons and mission systems throughout the product lifecycle.

Candidates from a variety of engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including systems, aerospace, electrical, mechanical, avionics, controls, and related disciplines.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage system requirements from customer needs through subsystem allocation.
  • Support requirements decomposition, traceability, verification, and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, test, and program teams.
  • Support systems integration, technical reviews, and engineering trade studies.
  • Participate in system architecture, interface definition, and cross-functional coordination efforts.
  • Contribute to model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering activities as needed.
  • Assist with technical documentation and issue resolution throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience.
  • Experience with requirements development, systems integration, verification, validation, or related systems engineering activities.
  • Strong ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience for senior-level consideration.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, missile, weapons, avionics, flight controls, or sensor systems.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS/DORS.
  • Working knowledge of Cameo, SysML, or other MBSE tools.
  • Experience with requirements verification and validation.
  • Active Secret Clearance preferred but not required.

Candidates may come from systems, aerospace, electrical, mechanical, avionics, controls, or related engineering backgrounds. Individuals who have performed requirements, integration, architecture, verification, or cross-functional technical coordination work are encouraged to apply, even if their previous title was not Systems Engineer.
