We are looking for a Senior Advanced Analytics Analyst with deep expertise in Payroll Analytics to bridge the gap between business strategy, finance, and data engineering.
In this role, you will solve high-impact analytics problems, design rigorous statistical experiments, and build scalable machine learning models. You'll work closely with executive stakeholders, payroll leaders, and IT teams to transform raw payroll and HR data into compelling narratives that drive key business decisions.

responsibilities:
Analytics Strategy & Storytelling
- Payroll Analytics: Leverage specialized payroll systems to conduct deep-dive analyses on workforce compensation, payroll efficiency, and operational trends.
- Experimentation: Design experimental frameworks and A/B tests to systematically test hypotheses across business processes.
- Data Narrative: Translate complex technical data findings into clear, compelling visual stories for executive leadership and HR/Finance stakeholders.
- Data Quality: Define data validation metrics and partner with data stewards to ensure strict data governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
Modeling & Reporting - Predictive & Advanced Analytics: Perform descriptive, inferential, correlational, and predictive analyses to uncover hidden operational patterns.
- BI Automation: Design, deploy, and automate ETL workflows, business intelligence reports, dashboards, and machine learning pipelines.
- Continuous Optimization: Monitor decision systems in real time to ensure ongoing statistical rigor and model performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Business Translation: Convert high-level business and financial objectives into technical data architecture and analysis plans.
- Data Mentorship: Champion data literacy across the organization by educating team members on statistical principles and analytics tools.
qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field. (Master's degree preferred).
Experience in data analytics, data science, or a closely related role.
Domain Experience: 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Payroll Analytics or a directly related field.
Leadership: 1+ year in a project lead, team lead, or supervisory capacity.
Required System & Tool Expertise:
Oracle HCM Payroll
Alteryx (for data blending and workflow automation)
Core Technical Expertise (3+ years hands-on experience in each):
Statistical Analysis & Modeling: Inferential stats, hypothesis testing, predictive modeling.
Machine Learning: Building and deploying ML algorithms to solve business problems.
Programming: Proficiency in Python or R.
Data Visualization: Hands-on experience with modern BI platforms.
Preferred Skills & Tools
Preferred Systems Knowledge: Oracle OACS (Oracle Analytics Cloud Service).
Technical Stack: SQL, Advanced Excel, Tableau, SPSS, SAS, Cognos, or Business Objects.
Domain & Frameworks: Systems Engineering, Data Architecture, Healthcare domain knowledge, or Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
Specialized Analytics: Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Text Analytics.
Certifications: Accredited Project Management (PMP) or Process Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) certifications..
