Summary
The Role We're hiring a QA Engineer to own quality across our software product. You'll work hand-in-hand with developers and product managers to catch issues early, build out our testing infrastructure, and ensure every release goes out with confidence. This is a highly collaborative role where you'll have real ownership not just executing test cases, but shaping how we think about quality as we scale. What You'll Do
Design, write, and execute manual test plans and test cases for new features and regression cycles
Build and maintain automated test suites to increase coverage and reduce manual overhead over time
Develop and maintain API tests to validate backend services, integrations, and data contracts
Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks before they reach production
Collaborate closely with engineers and PMs during sprint planning to identify edge cases and define acceptance criteria early
Triage, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments
Champion a shift-left testing mindset the earlier a bug is caught, the better
Help define and evolve QA processes, standards, and tooling as the team grows What We're Looking For
3 5 years of QA experience in a software product environment
Strong manual testing skills you know how to think like a user and break things creatively
Hands-on experience writing automated tests using tools like Playwright, or similar
Solid experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar
Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust, or similar)
Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment with short release cycles
Strong communication skills you can articulate issues clearly to both technical and non-technical teammates
A detail-oriented mindset paired with a pragmatic, "ship quality fast" attitude Nice to have
Experience in a startup or early-stage product environment
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (BitBucket, Jira)
Basic scripting skills in Python or JavaScript for test automation
Exposure to security or accessibility testing
