DescriptionAgile Release ManagerWe are looking for a Release Manager to work with scrum teams within business segment portfolios that will be responsible for scheduling, planning, and controlling the software delivery process. The objective is to facilitate the process required to move software releases into production while coordinating with different teams to ensure the smooth delivery of software releases efficiently with little disruption.
Detailed Description:- Plan Releases
- Work with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Engineering team with the Scrum team to align/slot Features/MVPs into a release
- Identify cross impacted team dependencies and communicate scope to cross impacted teams
- Create release plan and communicate to stakeholders
- Coordinate and facilitate Go/No-Go meeting and verify release readiness
- Ensure all audit & compliance requirements are met
- Obtain approval & sign-off's from stakeholders
- Track progress of all teams towards completion of planned scope and escalate issues
- Obtain release exceptions, if necessary
- Schedule Releases
- Coordinate release plans (implementation/validation) and activities with business segment scrum teams, cross impacted teams, Enterprise Release Team (for quarterly releases), and Event team (Infrastructure activities)
- Ensure impact on IT controls are identified and addressed (IT Risk and Compliance)
- Obtain release exceptions, if necessary
- Manage Releases
- Manage & coordinate the execution of the Implementation/Validation Plan; Set-up Teams release bridge call as needed
- Coordinate release status with affected business teams on release night
- Monitor Teams chat thread on release night for teams deploying code to obtain status and provide support as needed (ex. CTASK activity complete and Incident issue triage)
- Support Delivery Teams
- Coordinate ongoing dependency work between cross impacted teams and business segment scrum teams has been completed prior to a release
- Support continuous improvement
- Resolve issues and mitigate risks... escalate as necessary
- Support implementation of DevOps practices and tools (e.g. CI/CD pipelines) to enable more automation in the release process
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of related experience
- Min 2 years of experience working in a release management capacity (business or technical)
- Agile mindset (scrum background)
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. CI/CD pipelines) and automation of the release process
- Strong understanding of the application development lifecycle
- Tools: AzureDevOps (ADO) and ServiceNow
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Strong problem solving and communication skills... ability to negotiate solutions with stakeholders
- Work independently and with minimal supervision
