HR Data insights Analyst

Introduction

This position as an HR Data Insights Analyst is a key role within our team that focuses on analyzing and interpreting data related to human resources. The individual in this role will be responsible for generating reports, developing dashboards, storytelling with data, managing survey programs, and ensuring data integrity and compliance. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Report Generation & Maintenance: Own end-to-end production of recurring operational reports, ensuring data integrity and timeliness.
• Dashboard Development: Audit, build, and maintain interactive dashboards using Workday Discovery Boards and Looker Studio.
• Data Storytelling: Prepare high-quality slide decks and data summaries for leadership.
• Survey Program Management: Act as technical lead for survey platform, working with vendor on enhancements.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationship with survey vendor to ensure deliverables and SLAs are met.
• Insight Generation: Identify trends, anomalies, or correlations in people data to support business strategies.
• Audit & Compliance Stewardship: Serve as key contributor during internal and external HR audits.
• Data Governance & Integrity: Champion data hygiene and reconcile data discrepancies.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Human Resources, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: 2-4 years in People Analytics, HR Operations, or similar data-focused role.
• AI Proficiency: Ability to use AI tools for coding, summarizing survey feedback, and automating data tasks.

Technical Proficiency

• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets: VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, index/match, etc.
• Business Intelligence Tools: Experience with Looker and Workday Discovery Boards.
• Presentation Skills: Expert-level PowerPoint/Google Slides skills.
• Audit & Compliance Mindset: Familiarity with audit processes and data accuracy requirements.
• Documentation Skills: Ability to translate complex report logic into readable documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL for querying databases.
• Experience analyzing unstructured text data using AI/NLP tools.
• Deep understanding of HR data structures, especially Workday HCM data model.
• A "curiosity gap" to ask why data looks the way it does.
