Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payment Consultant with deep expertise in retail payments and telecom billing ecosystems. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic advisor, helping clients modernize payment systems, optimize processes, and ensure compliance in a rapidly evolving digital payments landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients and stakeholders on payment ecosystems, including:
  • Card payments (credit, debit, prepaid)
  • ACH and wire transfers
  • Real-time payments (RTP)
  • Digital wallets
  • Cross-border payments
• Assess current payment capabilities and define modernization roadmaps
• Support payment product launches, enhancements, and optimization initiatives
• Provide thought leadership on:
  • Payment innovations
  • Industry trends
  • Regulatory standards (e.g., PCI DSS)
• Identify risks (fraud, operational, regulatory) and recommend mitigation strategies
• Act as a trusted advisor to:
  • Executives
  • Product owners
  • Operations teams
  • External partners
• Facilitate:
  • Workshops
  • Requirement gathering sessions
  • Solution assessments
  • Executive briefings
• Translate complex payment concepts into actionable business recommendations
• Collaborate with technology teams on:
  • Payment platforms
  • Gateways and processors
  • Integrations and automation
• Evaluate and manage vendors, fintech partners, and payment networks
• Support system implementations, upgrades, and integrations
• Analyze market trends such as:
  • Open banking
  • Embedded finance
  • Fraud prevention
• Optimize:
  • Payment success rates
  • Authorization flows
  • Reconciliation and settlement processes
• Ensure compliance with:
  • PCI DSS
  • Data privacy regulations
  • Telecom and tax regulations
• Support:

• Collaborate with finance teams on:

• Experience integrating payment platforms with:
  • BSS

  • ERP
  • Mediation systems

Consulting & Strategy

• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills
• Ability to drive business and technology alignment
• Experience in large-scale transformation and modernization programs

Experience Required

• 10+ years of experience in payments consulting, telecom billing, or related domains
