Job Summary:

As a Mechanical Engineer/ Designer, you'll collaborate with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to design innovative building systems and deliver high-quality construction documents for impactful institutional projects across diverse markets.

In this role you will design HVAC systems for a wide range of buildings, including K-12 schools, retail/mixed-use spaces, hospitals, and commercial office spaces

Responsibilities Include:
  • Design Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning Systems for various types of facilities
  • Produce mechanical design drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit software
  • Perform field investigations
  • Coordinate quality control, scheduling, and programming
  • Coordinate and communicate information and progress with MEP team

You will be a great fit if you have:
  • A demonstrated facilitation experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in HVAC design and construction
  • A solid understanding of duct design, piping design, air handlers, chiller, and boiler systems
  • Experience with performing load calculations, equipment selection and design, wet and dry side system design
  • Knowledge of CBC, CMC and CPC codes, DDC controls, Title 24, HAP or Energy Pro

Skills/abilities:
  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills in design and specifications

Location: Lafayette, LA
Travel: Less than 10%
