Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing software development team supporting enterprise eCommerce platforms. This role is responsible for driving technical strategy, mentoring engineers, improving development processes, and delivering scalable, customer-focused applications. The ideal candidate is a collaborative technical leader with experience managing Agile software teams and modern enterprise technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 10 software engineers
  • Drive engineering strategy and align technical initiatives with business objectives
  • Partner with Product Managers, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
  • Promote Agile best practices through sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Operations, SRE, and Platform teams to troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability
  • Coach engineers on technical design, architecture, and professional development
  • Ensure projects meet quality, security, performance, and delivery expectations
  • Manage team workload, priorities, and resource allocation
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring efforts for engineering talent
  • Partner with senior technical leaders on architecture, infrastructure, scalability, and technology decisions
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative engineering culture focused on continuous improvement

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Software Development, or Operations
  • 4+ years of experience leading and managing technical teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experience with enterprise software engineering best practices including code reviews, source control, CI/CD, testing, and deployment
  • Strong understanding of application and infrastructure security best practices
  • Experience with modern web technologies including JavaScript, Node.js, .NET/C#, Java, PHP, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, microservices, message queues, and relational databases
  • Experience designing and delivering enterprise applications supporting eCommerce, ERP, CRM, Order Management, or similar business platforms
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance business priorities with technical architecture decisions

Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years supporting enterprise eCommerce platforms
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud
  • Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Service Desk
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, automation, and deployment pipelines
  • Experience leading large-scale application modernization initiatives
