Title : Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer – Incident Management (W2)
Location : San Francisco, CA
Duration : 12+ Months
Relevant Experience (in Yrs.): 6+
Rate : $45-$48/hr on W2
Job Description:
· Monitor network infrastructure using tools such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, and Nagios.
· Handle L1 incidents related to:
o LAN/WAN connectivity
o Routers, switches, firewall alerts
o VPN connectivity issues
· Perform initial troubleshooting using SOPs and predefined runbooks.
· Log and manage tickets using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
· Escalate incidents to L1.5 / L2 teams per SLA guidelines.
· Conduct basic network health checks (CPU, memory, interface status).
· Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for link-related issues.
· Maintain detailed shift logs and documentation.
· Adhere to incident, change, and problem management processes.
· Support rotational shifts in a 24x7 operational setup.

🔹 Required Skills
· Strong understanding of Incident Management frameworks (ITIL preferred)
· Experience in Major Incident Coordination
· Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, routing & switching)
· Familiarity with NMS tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix)
· Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Remedy)
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
· Ability to work under pressure in critical outage situations
Must-Have Skills:
- · Major Incident Management (P1/P2 handling)
- · L1 Network Troubleshooting
- · Network Monitoring Tools (SolarWinds / Nagios / Zabbix)
- · ITSM Tool Experience
- · Basic Networking Fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing & switching)
