JOB COST ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking an experienced Job Cost Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This is a non-exempt position and reports to the Senior Cost Accountant.
Critical job functions
·Analyzing costs associated with construction projects.
·Tracking expenses related to labor, materials, subcontractors, and other costs for each job.
·Assist in Monthly Review of projects with the Project Managers
·Assist in posting monthly job accruals and Work in Progress review.
·Assist in Cap Ex Budgeting and Annual Plant Budget Process
·Preparing cost-related reports for management.
·Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
·Contributing to accurate financial statements.
·10-15% travel required, based out of West Springfield office.
·Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required.
·Proficiency in cost accounting principles; construction industry preferred
·Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
·Strong interpersonal skills; self-motivated and curious
·Very comfortable with Microsoft Office products including proficiency in Excel.
·Familiarity with Vista a plus
Education and Experience Required.
·Associates degree or higher in accounting or equivalent field experience
·3-5 years of general accounting experience to include payroll, accounts payable or accounts receivable (internal applicants may be appointed with less than this)
