Your role Your mission as the Mechanical Technical Support Engineer is to be responsible for developing, delivering, and reinforcing best practices for boiler repair and steam mechanics. This role supports both shop and field operations by providing technical guidance, training, and project coordination, while promoting safe, efficient, and standardized work processes.
You will
- Report directly to the Fleet Quality Manager - Steam
- Develop and maintain training materials, including documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and instructional presentations
- Deliver hands-on and classroom-based training to mechanics and technicians
- Conduct root cause analyses of equipment and process failures and document findings
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance technical expertise
- Collaborate with shop and field personnel to support repairs, job planning, and preparation
- Plan, execute, and monitor technical and training-related projects
- Provide daily coordination, updates, and reporting to management

- You have minimum 5 years of experience (Mechanics, Welding, Boilers, Pipefitting)
- Proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools
- Experience with steam and hot water boilers
- Pipefitting experience
- MIG and stick welding experience
- Strong understanding of safe work practices
- Ability and willingness to travel within the United States
- Public speaking and instructional delivery capabilities
- Technical writing proficiency
- Familarity with Microsoft Office 365
- Demonstrated leadership abilities

Job location You will be part of an on-site dynamic team at our facility in Delanco, NJ. There will be occasional field work for job preparation and hands-on training. You will travel to other Specialty Rental Division North America locations to conduct training sessions within the United States (US). The work environment will be a combination of office and shop settings.
