Job Title: Dealer Configurations for Desking Tool
Location: Plano, TX (4 days onsite)
Position Overview:
This role will be focused on managing dealer configurations for an automotive retail product- finance module. You will play a critical role in managing and updating dealer-specific payment settings to ensure seamless, compliant, and efficient payment processing. You will work closely with dealers, support teams, development teams and compliance departments to implement configuration changes while onboarding dealers on the tool,
- Interact with Dealers and Dealer Representatives to onboard onto the program
- Create dealer configurations and customizations based on dealer preferences
- Validating payments with the goal of matching payments as close as possible wrt to the dealers' current desking or DMS tool
- In-depth analysis and troubleshooting to complete validation within an acceptable variance
- Conduct Live discovery and validation troubleshooting sessions with the dealers
Tax Compliance Research support
- Ensure all dealer configurations comply with applicable Tax, Title, and Legislation (TTL) requirements, including accurate tax rate application, title processing workflows, and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing tax laws and regulations affecting vehicle financing and leasing.
- Identify process gaps and recommend digital solutions to streamline taxation on the digital product
System Integration & Implementation
- Collaborate with technology teams to integrate financial and tax systems with core automotive finance platforms (loan management, lease management).
- Ensure alignment between business requirements, data models, and system configurations.
- Conduct functional testing and validation during technology rollouts.
- Support end-to-end automation
Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
- Advise clients on best practices for tax compliance, regulatory alignment, and finance transformation.
- Translate business and regulatory needs into system requirements.
- Work with client stakeholders (Finance, Legal, IT) to ensure seamless adoption of new processes and tools.
- Prepare documentation, dashboards, and performance reports for executive reviews.
- Analytics & Insights- Leverage data analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to derive actionable insights from data derived.
- Support to build KPIs and dashboards to monitor compliance, process efficiency, and performance.
Project & Sustainment Management
- Manage and maintain dealer configurations within the product, ensuring alignment with dealer operational needs and system requirements.
- Consult on service tickets related to dealer configuration changes, troubleshooting issues, and implementing requested updates.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and IT teams to stay updated on legislative changes affecting TTL and incorporate necessary updates into dealer configurations.
- Monitor and validate configuration changes to prevent payment processing errors, expired settings, or security vulnerabilities.
- Communicate clearly with dealers regarding configuration changes, expected timelines, and any impacts on payment processing or compliance.
- Support reporting and auditing processes by maintaining accurate and compliant configuration records.
- Perform front-end and back-end testing of payment configurations and system updates to ensure payment integrity, accuracy, and seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to design, execute, and document test cases related to payment processing workflows and dealer configuration changes.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or Engineering (required).
- Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with focus on Finance or equivalent preferred.
- F&I (Finance and Insurance) certification is a true differentiator
- 5 8 years of experience in finance transformation, techno-functional consulting, or tax technology implementation.
- Experience in auto retail, auto finance or financial services domain is preferred.
- Strong understanding of dealer payment processing systems, dealer desking tools and dealer management system (DMS) integrations.
- Knowledge of Tax, Title, and Legislation (TTL) requirements relevant to vehicle sales and financing.
- Excellent communication skills to engag
- Experience with configuration management and support ticket resolution in a financial or automotive environment.
- Experience or aptitude in software testing, including front-end and back-end testing methodologies
- Working knowledge of API integrations, API Testing, API Request Management is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with dealers, support teams, and compliance stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple configuration requests simultaneously.
- Ability to stay current with regulatory changes and apply them to system configurations.
