Electrical Design Engineer (Temporary Assignment)
Take your engineering career to new heights. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a temporary opportunity supporting the design, testing, and production of advanced electrical and electronic systems used in innovative aerospace and lighter-than-air vehicle applications.
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and support electrical systems from concept through fabrication, integration, and testing. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on design work, problem-solving, and collaborating in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical and electronic systems, including power distribution, instrumentation, controls, communications, PLCs, and variable frequency drives
- Create and maintain production-level engineering documentation.
- Support integration, testing, and first article builds.
- Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams.
- Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
- Travel occasionally to North Carolina facilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of electrical design engineering experience
- Experience with electrical and electronic assemblies in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of power distribution and monitoring systems
- Experience with schematic capture software preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Aviation or aerospace industry experience preferred
