7:00-8:00 AM SummaryWe are seeking an
Engineering Technician to provide hands-on engineering and manufacturing support for new product development and improvements to existing products. This role is heavily focused on
equipment troubleshooting and maintenance (approximately 75% of the role), along with testing, documentation, and manufacturing support.
This is a
6-month contract role with potential for conversion. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can work independently in a regulated manufacturing environment and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Required / Mandatory Skills- 2-4 years of experience as an Engineering Technician, Manufacturing Technician, or similar role
- Strong equipment troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance experience
- Ability to diagnose issues independently and document work accurately
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience installing, assembling, repairing, and maintaining production equipment
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations and minimizing equipment downtime
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Comfortable working onsite in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs, climb ladders, and perform hands-on technical work
Nice to Have / Preferred Skills- Medical device or packaging industry experience
- Cleanroom or controlled environment experience
- Experience with IQ, OQ, PQ (installation, operational, and process qualifications)
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA-regulated environments
- Exposure to sterile barrier packaging, thermoforming, or sealing processes
- Experience with molding processes (silicone, injection, transfer molding)
- CAD or engineering drafting experience
- Experience creating work instructions, drawings, and technical documentation
Qualification- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in an engineering, test, or manufacturing technician role
- Willingness to learn new technologies and apply them to manufacturing processes
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment while maintaining detailed service records
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities
- Support validation testing, first article inspections, and documentation efforts
- Assist with design documentation, work instructions, and drawing creation
- Support manufacturing operations to meet quality, cost, and production targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing
- Maintain tooling, spare parts, and equipment readiness
