Job Details

We are seeking a highly experienced, dedicated, and driven Traveling Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This individual MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE BUILDING STORAGE FACILITIES FROM THE GROUND UP OR AIRPLANE HANGARS. Commercial experience is also required. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all stages of commercial construction projects from inception to completion. Must have self-storage background and experience building single and multi-story storage units. This position offers an exciting opportunity for those who love to travel and have a keen interest in multi-story commercial construction, specifically in the self-storage space. You will be working on various commercial projects across different locations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed within the stipulated time frame and budget.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors at different stages of the project.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, manage daily operations, and coordinate the work of all parties involved in the project.
  • Handle on-site issues and emergencies promptly, making necessary adjustments to ensure project continuity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project goals are met.
  • Prepare and submit regular project reports, keeping the management informed about the project status and any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards, promoting a safe work environment for all staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Traveling Superintendent with self-storage background
  • Proficient in ground-up, commercial, multi-story construction projects.
  • Extensive experience in traveling roles, demonstrating the ability to manage projects in various locations.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as per project requirements.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
