Summary

Our client is building the intelligent infrastructure for how capital moves on Wall Street.

Trillions of dollars in institutional capital get directed through a web of relationships, meetings, and decisions that still run on spreadsheets, email chains, and tools built over a decade ago. This is the layer where markets actually move, and our client is at the forefront of rebuilding it.

They have replaced all of it with one platform, powered by AI agents that strip out the manual work and give bankers strategic leverage. Our client is quickly becoming the operating system for Wall Street's most important relationships.

The investment banks already running on their platform treat it as mission-critical, and they are just getting started. The problems they work on are high-stakes, data-dense, and critical to how markets function.

Their founding team blends Wall Street experience with engineering excellence, drawing on backgrounds at firms like Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, AWS, and Capital One. They lived the problem firsthand and built the platform they wished existed. Their tight-knit team in NYC is backed by top-tier VCs and former leaders from JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and Citadel.
About the role
We're hiring a Product Designer to work alongside our client's product and design team. You'll take ownership of features and flows end-to-end-not just executing specs, but contributing your own thinking to how the product is shaped.

This is a role for someone who is teachable yet opinionated: you'll have a strong design voice and the humility to grow it. You'll work in a high-craft environment, on complex B2B problems, with a team that takes design seriously.
What you'll do Own features end-to-end
  • Take projects from ambiguous brief to shipped product-owning the full arc from discovery through delivery.
  • Distill root problems from symptoms and push back when the framing isn't right.
  • Bring a clear point of view to every decision, and defend it.
Design with depth
  • Apply strong command of design phases, core principles, and handoff-including states, design notes, and hygiene in Figma.
  • Experienced in design thinking and UX, with enough UI craft to execute at a high standard of detail.
  • Balance execution work with blue-sky thinking; know when to move fast and when to go deep.
Collaborate and grow
  • Contribute to and work within an existing design system.
  • Support and build from user research to ground your decisions in real usage.
  • Stay curious about AI-use it actively, form real opinions on it, and bring that thinking to the team.
What you bring
  • 3+ years of product design experience, ideally in a B2B or fintech context.
  • Experience owning design projects or complex features end-to-end.
  • Familiarity with design systems-you know how to work within one and make it better.
  • Entrepreneurial instinct-you've worked at a startup or have a genuine interest in early-stage environments.
  • A thesis on AI and design: you're not offloading your thinking to it, but you're actively using it and forming real opinions.
  • Strong ability to distill complex problems and communicate your reasoning clearly.
  • Curious, probing, comfortable asking "why"-you don't take requirements at face value.
  • Teachable and opinionated in equal measure; you update your views with new information but don't fold under pressure.
Bonus
  • Experience with event management or workflow-heavy software.
Why this role at our client
The design problems here are genuinely hard-dense data, complex workflows, high-stakes users who have zero tolerance for friction. You'll own features end-to-end, not execute specs handed down to you. And you'll do it in an environment where design actually has a seat at the table.
What to know
Our client is a startup serving institutions that operate under real pressure, and sometimes that pressure lands on their team. There will be times you work long hours or respond outside classic windows because a customer or a deal demands it. They balance a lot at once, and they ask everyone to carry real weight. In exchange, you get outsized ownership, a steep learning curve, and a seat at the center of how markets work. Their team is in the Flatiron office in New York five days a week because they build faster together.
Benefits & perks
  • PTO: Unlimited
  • Salary & equity: Competitive compensation with real upside
  • Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision-fully covered
  • Eats & commute: Lunch and commute stipend, plus office snacks and drinks
