Lead Analyst, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

Our client is currently seeking a Lead Analyst, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) to oversee and mature an enterprise-wide resilience program. This role will lead business continuity and disaster recovery governance, including business impact analysis, recovery planning, testing, risk management, and program reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep BCDR expertise, strong stakeholder management skills, and experience working across business and technology organizations to ensure critical operations can effectively recover from disruptions.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
  • Lead enterprise-wide Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities to identify and prioritize critical business processes.
  • Define and maintain Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) based on business and operational impact.
  • Manage application inventory and tiering frameworks, ensuring alignment with recovery requirements and testing standards.
  • Establish and enforce Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery standards, policies, templates, and governance processes.
  • Review and validate Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) for completeness and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and lead tabletop exercises, disaster recovery testing, and failover validation activities.
  • Track testing outcomes, identify gaps, and drive remediation efforts with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain BCDR repositories, workflows, approvals, version control, and annual recertification processes.
  • Develop and deliver program metrics and executive reporting related to plan coverage, testing results, remediation activities, and compliance.
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal control initiatives related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Manage BCDR-related risks and support ongoing program maturity and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and drive execution of strategic BCDR initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Preferred certifications include CBCP, MBCI, CRISC, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Operational Resilience, Technology Risk, or Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC).
  • Experience supporting or governing enterprise-scale BCDR programs.
  • Strong background in Business Impact Analysis (BIA), RTO/RPO development, application tiering, and recovery planning.
  • Experience leading tabletop exercises, disaster recovery tests, and recovery validation activities.
  • Knowledge of hybrid environments, including both cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Experience with BCDR and GRC platforms such as ServiceNow, Archer, SharePoint, Power Automate, or similar tools.
  • Ability to work effectively across business units, infrastructure teams, application owners, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience creating executive-level dashboards, metrics, and reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements, governance initiatives, and program maturity efforts.
