A recognized global enterprise is seeking a Data Steward Projects/WBS for a remote opportunity supporting an SAP transformation. This role focuses on source-data cleansing, mapping, validation, and conversion readiness for project and Work Breakdown Structure data.
About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities:
Lead cleansing and readiness efforts for CapEx Project/WBS and Title Project/WBS data
Define standards for project status, WBS structure, ownership, organizational assignments, dates, settlement attributes, and coding
Identify closed, inactive, duplicate, incomplete, or out-of-scope projects and coordinate retention decisions
Validate project hierarchies and parent-child relationships
Define legacy-to-SAP mappings, selection criteria, transformation requirements, defaults, and enrichment needs
Qualifications:
Experience supporting enterprise data transformation, migration, or conversion initiatives
Strong experience with source-data cleansing, rationalization, enrichment, mapping, and readiness
Experience defining object- and field-level data-quality rules and conversion scope
Experience supporting mock conversion cycles, validation, reconciliation, exception resolution, and cutover
Strong analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills
Ability to work with business owners, functional teams, data owners, and technical transformation teams
Experience with project master data, WBS structures, capital projects, or project accounting
Experience cleansing, mapping, validating, or converting hierarchical project data
Ability to assess project status, structure, and financial relevance for conversion scope
Desired Skills:
Experience with SAP Project Systems and Project/WBS conversion
Experience contributing to an end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition implementation
Familiarity with SAP best practices and future-state process and data design
