DevOps Engineer/Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer / Systems Specialist to support enterprise system management and DevOps operations. The role involves managing application builds, deployments, system configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in .NET applications, Windows server administration, and automation scripting.

Required Skills

Experience with .NET / C# development environment
Experience supporting ASP.NET applications and MS Windows Forms applications
Experience configuring WCF and REST web services

Preferred Skills

Containerization experience using Docker
Orchestration experience with Kubernetes
Exposure to JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, and CSS
Windows server administration skills

Key Responsibilities

Support system management functions including performance and capacity management, configuration management, release management, build coordination, and batch job scheduling
Manage configuration item promotion, builds, and deployments across multiple environments
Prepare builds for production release and support production deployments
Perform code deliveries and manage code merges between development streams
Build applications and deploy them to non production environments
Troubleshoot system and server related issues and coordinate with application users to identify and resolve problems
Handle code deployments and code merges across all environments
Monitor system metrics and implement improvements
Maintain batch schedules and execute operational playbooks for production and non production environments
Develop and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of enterprise level IT experience
Strong administration skills in Windows Server including versions such as Windows Server 2016
Experience managing web hosting environments using IIS including IIS 10
Strong troubleshooting experience with Windows Operating System configuration and maintenance
Experience configuring and maintaining IIS servers
Experience with TFS management system in both on premises and Azure environments
Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell
Experience with Windows Batch Scheduler
Exposure to endpoint virtualization tools such as SOA Akana or API Gateway platforms
Experience with system security triaging
