Elcaro is searching for a Sr. Full Stack Automation Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of modern DevOps platforms for our customer. This role will work directly with client engineering teams to transform fragmented infrastructure into secure, observable, AI-augmented, and fully automated software delivery and operations ecosystems.
****NO 3RD PARTY CANDIDATES - NO SUBCONTRACTORS**
You thrive in complex, high-stakes environments. You will migrate legacy systems, stand up GitOps pipelines, harden supply chains, and embed agentic AI capabilities into real-world workflows. This is not a support role. You own outcomes end-to-end as a technical leader, educator, and problem-solver who delivers measurable improvements in velocity, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
β Design and implement end-to-end Infrastructure as Code and GitOps solutions using Terraform and related tools.
β Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) with Gitflow or trunk-based practices.
β Automate configuration management, provisioning, and compliance using Ansible (primary).
β Deploy, manage, and tune Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, OpenShift, or vanilla K8s) and containerized workloads.
β Integrate and operationalize Elasticsearch for observability, logging, search, and security analytics.
β Incorporate AI and Agentic AI capabilities such as LLM gateways, RAG systems, guardrails, and multi-agent workflows.
β Harden software supply chains with SBOMs, vulnerability scanning, signing, and policy-as-code.
β Deliver comprehensive observability stacks with OpenTelemetry.
β Provide hands-on knowledge transfer so client teams can own and evolve the solutions.
β Travel to client sites (0–40% depending on client needs) for workshops, implementations, and support.
Required Qualifications
β Demonstrated years of experience building and operating production DevOps, automation, or platform engineering systems (10+ years preferred).
β Deep expertise in CI/CD, Git workflows, Terraform, and Ansible.
β 2+ years hands-on with Elasticsearch.
β Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or equivalents).
β 1+ year practical experience with AI / Agentic AI systems (LLMs, orchestration, guardrails, RAG).
β 1+ year experience with at least one major cloud (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform). Kubernetes and containerization required.
β Proven ability to deliver complex projects with minimal supervision in dynamic environments.
β Strong communication skills. You can explain tradeoffs clearly to engineers and stakeholders alike.
Preferred Qualifications
β VMware, ArgoCD, Crossplane, Trivy/Cosign, OpenTelemetry, or policy engines.
β Prior consulting experience or open-source contributions.
β Track record modernizing observability platforms or large-scale migrations.
Passion for teaching client teams and leaving systems better than you found them
