Manufacturing Team Lead to join our team.
Job Summary Manufacturing Team LeadAs a
Manufacturing Team Lead, you will play a key role in managing operators, equipment and materials. This includes being responsible for flow of work through the shop and technical training of operators.
Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Team Lead- Serve as a technical resource and team leader for operators.
- Train and develop less experienced operators and participate in their development in partnership with VSM.
- Complete work order paperwork and demonstrate an outstanding record of quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to operate, set-up, and program all machinery in the department.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.
Preferred- High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.
Work Environment Manufacturing Team Lead- This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
- The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
