Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Java Engineer with 7+ years of software development experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and cloud-based microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka, Cloud technologies, Python, and CI/CD, along with exposure to Vertex AI and AI/ML-enabled applications.
The candidate will work closely with architects, product managers, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional development teams to build highly scalable, secure, and reliable applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop scalable and secure RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Build event-driven applications and integrations using Apache Kafka.
- Develop and integrate applications with cloud platforms and cloud-native services.
- Work with Vertex AI and AI/ML services to integrate intelligent capabilities into enterprise applications.
- Use Python for scripting, automation, data processing, and integration with AI/ML services.
- Design and optimize applications using both RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Develop efficient database queries, data models, and application-level data access layers.
- Implement build and dependency management using Maven.
- Use Git for source-code management and collaborative development.
- Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
- Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborate with distributed development teams.
- Ensure applications meet standards for scalability, performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot complex production and application issues and provide effective solutions.
Required Technical Skills
- 8 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs / API development and integration.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies.
- Experience with Python for scripting, automation, or application development.
- Experience with Vertex AI or AI/ML cloud services.
- Strong experience with RDBMS such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Maven for build and dependency management.
- Strong experience with Git and source-code management.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and deployment processes.
