Summary

Title: Apigee Developer

Location: Remote (US-based)

Duration: Long Term

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and configure API proxies, shared flows, and policies aligned with enterprise standards
  • Deploy and support APIs across Dev, QA, UAT, and Prod environments
  • Implement API security: OAuth2, JWT, TLS, API keys
  • Conduct PR reviews to enforce governance, naming conventions, and security
  • Troubleshoot performance and production issues; perform root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines for API deployment

 Must-Haves:

  • Apigee: 8+ years hands-on with Apigee Edge, X, or OPDK (proxy development, policies, shared flows)
  • Security: Solid grasp of OAuth2, JWT, and REST-based integrations
  • CI/CD: Experience with pipeline-based deployments and multi-environment release management
  • Troubleshooting: Proven ability to debug production API issues and performance bottlenecks

 Nice-to-Haves:

  • Kubernetes / Docker exposure
  • Git workflows and code governance
  • Scripting (Python/Shell) for automation
