Summary

Overview

Goldbelt Taku is accelerating healthcare delivery and providing superior force health readiness across the military, federal, and civilian landscapes. Goldbelt Glacier is committed to providing transformative and comprehensive health operational capabilities to support customers across scientific, clinical, technological, and program management areas.

Summary:

The Junior Network Administrator supports the availability, connectivity, and security posture of Military-Civilian Transition Office's (MCTO) cloud infrastructure and associated network services. Working under the oversight of senior infrastructure and cybersecurity personnel, this position contributes to network monitoring, helpdesk operations, documentation, and regulatory compliance activities.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
  • Support the operation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of MCTO's cloud network infrastructure, including connectivity between MCTO platforms and systems, under the direction of senior engineers
  • Assist with Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk operations supporting website outages, login issues, event registration and attendance recording failures, and general IT access issues
  • Document support issues, preliminary root cause analyses, and technical resolutions accurately in the Government-approved ticketing system
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate network and system records, equipment inventories, and access control lists
  • Support configuration and change management activities under senior engineer direction, including network configuration documentation and system diagram development
  • Assist with regulatory compliance activities, including supporting RMF documentation tasks, cybersecurity assessments, and continuous monitoring activities
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding procedures related to CAC issuance, network access provisioning, and system access tracking
  • Support identification and escalation of cybersecurity incidents within required timeframes
  • Complete all mandatory training requirements within 30 calendar days of reporting for duty, and maintain annual recertification as required

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage configuration and operational continuity of networked systems, with a record of accountability for high-value technical equipment and zero unrecovered system failures or asset loss
  • Proficiency in applying systematic, methodology-driven troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity or signal degradation issues in networked environments; demonstrated ability to maintain near-continuous system availability across extended or sustained operational periods
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous records, follow and enforce standard operating procedures, and operate within structured, compliance-driven environments with defined escalation and documentation requirements
  • Strong organizational discipline, attention to detail, and demonstrated experience working within hierarchical team structures under time-sensitive and high-consequence conditions

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Active enrollment in an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) program in Cyber Security, Network Management, Information Technology, or a closely related field, with anticipated completion within 12 months of hire; or a completed AAS or higher in a relevant discipline
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA IT Fundamentals+, Network+, Security+) are a plus but not required at entry
  • 0-2 years of professional or military experience in network administration, IT operations, or technical systems support; equivalent military technical systems experience accepted in lieu of civilian IT credentials
  • Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining networked hardware or communications infrastructure, including diagnosing connectivity faults and restoring system availability under operational time pressure; experience with military ground control stations, data link terminals, or comparable networked field systems is directly qualifying
  • Must obtain and maintain a minimum Tier 3 (T3) background investigation
  • Must be eligible for and obtain a DoW Common Access Card (CAC) in accordance with DoWM 1000.13
  • Must complete all mandatory training within 30 calendar days of reporting for duty, including CUI, OPSEC, Privacy Act/PII, IT Security Awareness, Insider Threat Awareness, and Antiterrorism Level 1 training

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience enforcing data security and access control protocols on networked systems in a DoW or classified environment, operating under clearance requirements with zero tolerance for unauthorized access or data compromise
  • Prior TS or SECRET clearance is a significant differentiator for reciprocity eligibility
  • Experience developing and delivering technical SOPs and training personnel on proper system operation, fault identification, and maintenance procedures across multi-system or multi-operator environments
  • Demonstrated proficiency in maintaining detailed maintenance logs, equipment records, and asset tracking documentation for networked or technical systems, supporting audit readiness and operational continuity
  • Familiarity with DoW network security policies, OPSEC principles, and CUI handling procedures as applied in military or government contractor environments
  • Exposure to enterprise or cloud-based software platforms in any operational context, including production management, logistics, inventory, or business process systems
  • Demonstrated capacity for independent, self-directed learning with a record of acquiring new technical skills through structured academic programs, professional development, or military training pipelines
