Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Python & Snowflake Developer to design, develop, and support scalable data solutions and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, Snowflake, SQL, cloud technologies, and modern data engineering practices. This role involves collaborating with business, data, and application teams to deliver robust data pipelines, reporting solutions, and cloud-native applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines with Python and Snowflake SQL.
- Develop stored procedures, user-defined functions, and data transformation frameworks.
- Implement data quality validation, data lineage, and monitoring processes.
- Optimize Snowflake performance through warehouse sizing and query tuning.
- Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and data processing applications with Python.
- Create reusable frameworks and utilities for data ingestion and transformation.
- Develop automation scripts for operational processes and cloud resource management.
- Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring solutions for robust operations.
- Work with cloud services, such as AWS S3, Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation and support deployment automation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and prepare technical documentation.
- Support production deployments, incident management, and root cause analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of software development and data engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Proficiency in SQL and database development.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse.
- Experience supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and Dimensional Modeling.
- Experience with data processing frameworks such as Pandas or PySpark.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Domain experience in financial services or risk management.
- Exposure to data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Certification in relevant cloud or data platform technologies.
- Knowledge of real-time data processing and messaging systems.
