What You ll be doing

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will build and support both frontend and backend applications, working across the entire software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, software engineers, and other engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions. This role will be a key contributor responsible for designing, developing, and delivering modern software solutions for a SaaS platform that enables technology and service providers in the consumer bill payment space to facilitate the collection and delivery of consumer payments.

How you ll make an impact

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Build and enhance cloud-native applications running in AWS Cloud.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and integrate frontend applications with backend services.
• Build and support event-driven services using Apache Kafka.
• Develop and maintain database solutions using PostgreSQL and Oracle Database, including SQL development and Oracle stored procedures.
• Create responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces that provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Develop reusable frontend components and follow modern frontend architecture and design best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code using unit, component, integration, and end-to-end testing practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Help defi ne and implement the technical roadmap for the Bill Pay platform while aligning with business objectives and engineering best practices.
• Continuously improve application performance, scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
• Challenge the status quo by improving engineering practices that reduce time-to-market while maintaining high quality.
• Collaborate with other Corporate Payments engineering teams to reuse shared services, components, and development practices.

Experience you ll bring

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience building modern web applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS Cloud.
• Experience building event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
• Experience developing and supporting applications using PostgreSQL and Oracle Database, including SQL development and Oracle stored procedures.
• Experience with frontend state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
• Experience writing automated tests, including unit, component, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools such as JUnit, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, cloud-native development, security, and secure coding best practices.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, web performance, and frontend best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment with changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building cloud-native SaaS applications.
• Experience developing applications in the financial services or payments industry, including bill pay, credit card, accounts receivable, or accounts payable solutions.
• Experience working with design systems and reusable component libraries.
• Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams.
