Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Wi-Fi Interoperability Test Lead to own test strategy, execution, and onsite lab coordination for Wi-Fi connectivity and device interoperability testing. The role requires strong expertise in Wi-Fi protocols, roaming, band steering, onboarding, RF testing, and over-the-air packet analysis using Wireshark and Octoscope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute test strategies covering Wi-Fi connectivity, onboarding, PHY rates, band steering, roaming, and end-to-end device use cases.

  • Lead Wi-Fi interoperability, RF, density, and performance testing in a live lab environment using Octoscope.

  • Analyze over-the-air packet captures using Wireshark to troubleshoot authentication, association, DHCP, roaming, and connectivity failures.

  • Manage onsite lab infrastructure, test devices, schedules, and test execution.

  • Coordinate onsite and offshore engineering teams, including collaboration with teams in India and overlapping Indian business hours.

  • Drive test planning, execution tracking, defect triage, risk management, and entry/exit criteria.

  • Communicate test progress, quality metrics, risks, and issues to client stakeholders and program managers.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of Wi-Fi device interoperability testing experience.

  • 3+ years in an onsite technical lead or client-embedded coordination role.

  • Strong knowledge of IEEE 802.11 standards, WPA2/WPA3, authentication, association, DHCP, and Wi-Fi security.

  • Hands-on expertise in Wi-Fi roaming (802.11k/r/v), band steering, RF testing, and connectivity troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency in Wireshark and over-the-air packet analysis; experience with Octoscope test environments.

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional onsite and offshore teams.

  • Excellent client communication, test management, and stakeholder coordination skills.

  • BS in Engineering or a related technical field.

Role Focus: Approximately 30% hands-on Wi-Fi technical expertise and 70% onsite test leadership, coordination, and delivery management.
