What you'll doWe are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Developer Platform and Infrastructure team. In this role, you will oversee a team of talented software engineers responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of our core development infrastructure. This team builds the foundational systems that power our engineering organization, ensuring our developers have the tools, platforms, and environments they need to deliver high-quality software quickly and reliably.
You will work closely with engineering teams across the company to architect solutions that enhance developer productivity, improve CI/CD capabilities, and streamline workflows. With a focus on reliability, security, and performance, you will help shape the technical direction of our platform while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence.
This position is a people manager role reporting to the Director, Software Engineering.
Responsibility- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers focused on developer platform and infrastructure
- Drive the design, development, and optimization of core systems that support build, test, deployment, and developer productivity
- Partner with architects and engineering leaders to identify developer and infrastructure needs while setting technical priorities
- Champion reliability, scalability, and security best practices in all platform services
- Oversee CI/CD improvements to accelerate release cycles and reduce friction in the development process
- Collaborate across teams to ensure platform solutions meet the evolving needs of the engineering organization
- Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement
Job DesignationHybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bringBasic- 8+ years of combined software development and management experience across at least 3 different languages
- 8+ years of hands-on software development as an individual contributor
- Experience implementing DevOps practices and tools, including monitoring, logging, and alerting, with a focus on reliability and resilience
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience in test-driven development techniques via nUnit, xUnit, MsTest and other unit testing frameworks
- Experience with security best practices and compliance standards for infrastructure and application deployment
Preferred- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong people management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and leading technical teams
- Experience in developing developer-facing front-end applications
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) and cloud stacks (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
- Ability and desire to move across technology stacks fluently and easily
- Experience with on-call rotations, demonstrating the ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues under pressure, ensuring system stability and minimal downtime
Wage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $170,900.00 - $251,325.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for the following:
- Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
- Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
