DevOps & Automation Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer with strong DevOps, software engineering, and API integration experience to help build a production-ready platform for network refresh automation.

The ideal candidate will take an existing proof of concept and develop it into a scalable, secure, and maintainable application. This role involves building the platform infrastructure from scratch, developing Python applications, creating API integrations, and establishing automated deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a production-ready environment with source control, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and containerized deployments.

• Develop, test, and maintain clean, modular, and well-documented Python applications.

• Design and build API gateways and integrations with internal enterprise systems.

• Implement authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, error handling, and audit capabilities.

• Establish environment separation for development, testing, and production.

• Implement automated testing, secure secrets management, and release processes.

• Integrate with enterprise systems and normalize data from multiple sources.

• Design scalable architecture to support future network automation and AI-driven workflows.

• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on experience with Python development and backend application engineering.

• Proven experience building production-grade CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments from scratch.

• Expertise in Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.

• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs, API gateways, and enterprise integrations.

• Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC, service-to-service authentication, and secure application development.

• Experience with databases, caching, messaging queues, automated testing, and application monitoring.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code, environment management, and production deployment practices.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Netmiko, or NAPALM.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Infoblox, or telecom/network operations systems.

• Exposure to AI agents, LLM-based workflows, and automated decision-making systems.

• Experience working in large enterprise or service provider environments.
