Job Summary: The Systems Analyst III plans and configures moderate- to high-complexity software systems to support the administrative function of the University under minimal supervision. This may include enterprise and highly critical critical applications. Assists in the development of processes. Creates workflows. Installs, configures, supports, and maintains integrations for vendor-supplied software systems. Works on a team and collaborates with specific departments, colleges, and customers around campus. Supports their needs, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and responding to their questions and concerns in a timely manner. Provides guidance and training to other Systems Analysts.

Additional Department Summary: Under minimal supervision, designs, develops and supports complex solutions using electronic health records and other healthcare systems to support the function of the foundation and university; installs, customizes, and supports vendor-supplied healthcare software; analyzes and resolves problems arising with the use of software systems. The ideal candidate will have a good mix of clinical knowledge and IT skills, customer service and solutions focus. Will be required to be available for after-hours support of application responsibility.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree and two (2) years of IT system analysis experience; OR bachelor's degree and four (4) years of IT system analysis experience; OR associate's degree and six (6) years of IT experience to include four (4) years of IT system analysis; OR high school diploma or GED and eight (8) years of IT experience to include four (4) years of IT system analysis.

Preferred Qualifications: An understanding of electronic health records and the ability to both understand clinical workflows and daily operation needs, and to translate those needs into support, change, and implementation practices. Good written skills with the ability to clearly document and explain clinical processes and software workflows. Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience. The ability to problem solve issues that arise in day to day running of clinical health systems, an understanding of the criticality of those systems to operational and business needs, and providing timely responses and solutions as required. Effective time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with NextGen and Epic systems. Experience with system migrations, data conversion, and archiving.
