Role Overview
The client is seeking an IT Coordinator to serve as the bridge between business users and technical vendors, ensuring effective delivery of IT services, support, and compliance initiatives. The role involves coordinating IT projects, managing vendors and contractors, tracking assets and licenses, supporting help desk operations, and overseeing technology-related activities in a government environment. This position is based in New Kent, and the job is open to candidates within a 100-mile radius of the location.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and manage IT vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of services
• Act as the liaison between non-technical staff and technical service providers
• Track open tickets, monitor deliverables, and escalate issues as needed
• Manage IT asset inventories and software license tracking processes
• Coordinate website content updates and related stakeholder communications
• Support help desk triage, issue resolution, and escalation activities
• Assist with cybersecurity awareness initiatives and compliance coordination
• Monitor project tasks, timelines, and status updates using ticket management tools
• Support technology operations in alignment with organizational and government standards
