Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Software Architect / Principal Engineer – Microsoft Teams Meeting Applications (ACS Architect) on behalf of our client in the United States (Remote).

We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in Microsoft Teams Meeting Applications and Azure Communication Services (ACS). This role is ideal for an architect-level professional who can define technical direction, guide engineering teams, and build scalable, production-grade real-time communication solutions.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience architecting and implementing Microsoft Teams Meeting bots that join meetings and process meeting data using Azure Communication Services (ACS). Candidates with only Teams chat bot experience will not be a fit for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Architect Microsoft Teams Meeting Applications

• Lead the design and architecture of applications built specifically for Microsoft Teams Meetings, beyond traditional chat bot implementations.

• Define scalable technical solutions for enterprise-grade collaboration and communication experiences.

Design ACS-Based Communication Workflows

• Architect and optimize Azure Communication Services (ACS) workflows to support real-time communication capabilities.

• Build scalable call automation and meeting interaction experiences.

Develop Teams Meeting Bot Integrations

• Design and implement bots that can join Microsoft Teams meetings, interact with meeting participants, and process meeting-related data using ACS.

• Enable seamless integration between Teams Meetings and enterprise workflows.

Provide Technical Leadership

• Drive architecture decisions and technical direction across engineering teams.

• Mentor developers and provide best practices around system design, scalability, and real-time communication technologies.

Collaborate Across Teams

• Partner with engineering, product, and platform stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable communication solutions.

• Translate business requirements into architecture and implementation strategies.

Ensure Scalability & Reliability

• Design high-availability systems capable of supporting production-grade workloads.

• Establish architecture patterns that ensure performance, resiliency, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall IT experience.

• 5+ years of experience within the Microsoft Teams and Azure ecosystem.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Teams Meeting Application Development.

• Proven experience designing and implementing Azure Communication Services (ACS)-based communication workflows.

• Hands-on experience building bots that join Microsoft Teams meetings and process meeting data using ACS.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Azure Communication Services (ACS)

  • Call automation and meeting integrations

  • Bot connectivity and communication flows

  • System design and distributed architecture

  • Real-time communication (RTC), signaling, and media workflows

• Prior experience operating at a Senior Architect, Principal Engineer, or Technical Leadership level.
