AI Governance & Enablement Lead (M365 Copilot & Internal AI Chat Platform)

Role Summary
The AI Governance & Enablement Lead is responsible for driving enterprisewide adoption, awareness, and effective use of AI tools specifically Microsoft 365 Copilot and the company s Internal AI Chat Platform. This role is highly proactive and changeoriented, focused on enabling people rather than building technology. Success in this role requires strong leadership, communication, and influence skills, with a passion for user adoption, training, and change management not technical development or coding.
This role will serve as a central leader within the AI Governance core team, helping establish standards, best practices, and a Center of Excellence to ensure AI tools are used responsibly, effectively, and at scale across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
AI Enablement & Adoption Leadership
Lead enterprise adoption of M365 Copilot and the Internal AI Chat Platform across 12,000+ active users, with training reach of 20,000+ colleagues
Act as the primary engagement lead for these AI tools, ensuring users understand where, when, and how to use them effectively
Proactively identify adoption barriers and develop strategies to increase awareness, confidence, and usage
Serve as the front door for AI enablement guiding users to the right tools and alternatives when Copilot or the Internal AI Chat Platform is not the best fit
Change Management & Communication
Operate as a change specialist who can lead, influence, and drive behavior change at scale
Develop and deliver clear, userfriendly communications, including feature announcements, release notes, and usage guidance
Stay current on upcoming AI features and releases; translate changes into businessready messaging
Create and present executive and userlevel presentations that explain value, use cases, and best practices
Training & User Engagement
Design, develop, and facilitate AI training programs, walkthroughs, and enablement sessions
Host office hours, live demos, and Q&A forums to support ongoing user engagement
Lead and grow an AI Connect userdriven community, fostering peer learning and advocacy
Encourage twoway feedback loops to continuously improve training, content, and adoption strategies
Governance & Center of Excellence
Serve as a core member of the AI Governance team, helping ensure responsible, compliant, and aligned AI usage
Support development and execution of an AI Center of Excellence, focused on adoption, governance, and best practices
Partner closely with product owners, business leaders, and stakeholders to align AI enablement with business priorities
Collaboration & Content Platforms
Manage and curate AI enablement content across SharePoint sites (3 sites, 70K+ users)
Ensure content is easy to find, current, and aligned with governance standards
Work crossfunctionally with partners and internal teams to scale AI enablement efforts
Required Skills & Experience
Strong background in change management, enablement, training, or product adoption
Proven ability to lead largescale user adoption initiatives
Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
Highly proactive mindset with a passion for engaging users and driving change
Experience supporting enterprise tools such as M365 Copilot, internal AI platforms, or digital workplace technologies
Ability to translate complex concepts into simple, actionable guidance
