TRD is looking for a highly motivated, initiative-taking, and experienced Teardown/NDT (nondestructive testing)/Sub-Assembly Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adapt to a constantly changing fast-paced work environment while meeting production schedules.
  • Disassembly of TRD accessories and engine parts (Teardown) following processes and techniques as defined by Engineering.
  • Nondestructive testing of TRD accessories and engine parts (NDT) following processes and techniques as defined by Engineering.
  • Confirmation of parts mileages and matching to mileage limits for each build/spec.
  • Assembling required components to build plan schedule.
  • Perform testing and inspection of components using bespoke test equipment.
  • Perform assembly or disassembly of various sub-assembly components.
  • Update electronic build books with component information. Including and not limited to, parts issuance to proper work orders, etc.
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of engine build teardown/NDT/assembly processes and procedures.
  • Inter Department cooperation.
  • Input regarding teardown/NDT/assembly tooling.
  • Taking ownership of attention to detail, quality, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.


Qualifications:

The candidate will have:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED or Vocational School training.
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
  • Minimum five years' experience in racing engine build environment is desired.
  • Hands on engine build experience is desired.
  • Mechanical Skills: Must have strong mechanical skills; ability to proficiently use all build related tools.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Including strong listening skills; open-mindedness; team working and language skills necessary to facilitate effective cooperation between Associate and departments.
  • Must be initiative-taking and able to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
  • Must have the patience and diligence to achieve the best results possible.


Physical requirements listed below but not limited to:

  • Standing-Frequent/Intermittent Up to 3 hours per day
  • Walking-Occasionally/Intermittent Up to 3 hours per day
  • Sitting- Occasionally/Intermittent
  • Lifting- Up to 50 lbs. Occasionally/Intermittent
  • Carrying up to 50 lbs. Occasionally/Intermittent
  • Pushing/Pulling-between 50-100 lbs. Occasionally/Intermittent

The annual base salary range for this position is $63,100.00 - $102,600.00.
