Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with hands-on Apptio experience to support testing and quality engineering across Apptio-based applications and integrations. The candidate should have strong automation testing experience and be comfortable validating data, APIs, integrations, and end-to-end business workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Apptio-related applications and workflows.

Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.

Validate data flows between Apptio and upstream/downstream systems.

Perform backend/data validation using SQL and troubleshoot data discrepancies.

Develop and execute automation using tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman/Rest Assured.

Work closely with developers, product owners, and business teams to understand requirements and define test coverage.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support defect triage/root-cause analysis.

Maintain test cases, test results, defect documentation, and quality metrics.

Required Skills

5+ years of QA/testing experience with strong test automation expertise.

Hands-on experience testing Apptio implementations/applications.

Strong understanding of Apptio data, reporting, workflows, and integrations.

Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or comparable automation frameworks.

Strong API testing experience.

Good SQL and data-validation skills.

Experience with CI/CD and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and the software testing lifecycle.
