Genesis10 is currently seeking an Oracle Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Developer to join our data engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing complex database solutions within our Oracle ecosystem. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our modernization efforts, leveraging your skills to bridge legacy database environments with modern, high-performance data architectures.
Responsibilities: - Design, code, and maintain robust PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support core business logic
- Analyze and tune complex SQL queries and database schemas to ensure peak performance in high-transaction environments
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to facilitate data movement between Oracle and other enterprise systems
- Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate Oracle data sources into our modern data stack
- Execute thorough unit and integration testing to ensure data integrity and security across all database objects
- Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for data models, mapping, and technical workflows
Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development
- Proven experience with SSIS for complex data integration, transformations, and automation
- Strong understanding of relational database design, indexing strategies, and normalization
- Expert-level skills in diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks in large-scale Oracle databases
- Strong analytical mindset and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment
Desired skills: - Experience working with Starburst (Trino) for federated querying, cross-platform data joins, or implementing a data mesh architecture is a significant advantage
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform cloud environments and moving/managing data within them
- Exposure to cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift)
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
