Senior Business Operations Analyst   

6 Months contract –    extension

McLean , VA – On-site   M-F  

Interview Type: 1st round – virtual | 2nd round – onsite

Must Have Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in pulling and writing Python Scripts, SQL management, and Excel data analysis.
• Candidates who have a technical background and hands-on development experience is a strong plus.
• Prior production support experience is preferred, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

Note :

Schedule: This position will require shift work- One week of nights, and one weekend.

Job Description:

• Ensure application and process resiliency by addressing production issues during assigned shifts (non-business hours when assigned)
• Address user inquiries in a timely manner
• Support the calculation of impacts associated with future model deployments
• Support the E2E testing of all engines within Mercury Plus
• Troubleshoot application related issues in both production and when needed in lower environments
• Communicate performance patterns and trends to stakeholders
• Support environment related maintenance and management
• Develop automated tools to assist with core responsibilities mentioned above

Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of work experience.
2. Proven experience with analytical tools: SQL, Python, Excel, and similar
3. Good knowledge of Fixed Income and/or Finance Analytics
4. Ability to analyze large datasets
5. Ability to work on weekend and evenings for one week a month is necessary.
6. Experience in interfacing with and/or supporting mission-critical applications or tasks
7. Bachelor’s/Master''s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or other quantitative field
8. Experience with JIRA, particularly creating dashboards and tickets along with their maintenance
