SAIC is looking for a Project Engineer to support a highly dynamic and growing program with one of our US Government customers. You will be a part of a large multi-year contract that supports our customer in systems engineering and integration across a broad portfolio of projects. You will come into a program that enjoys a close working relationship with the customer, bringing exquisite technical expertise to bear on real world problems, helping the customer execute real world missions that impact National Security on a daily basis. This close relationship, along with the program's longevity (20 years), ensures that as a new team member you will find a depth of support to grow and develop that is unmatched, all while making a difference - daily.

Your role in the program will focus on coordination of the development, deployment and data distribution for a widely deployed intelligence collection system. You will need experience in managing a system through the full lifecycle - from concept to disposal. Significant exposure to project management efforts involving operations and maintenance of systems will be critical, as well as the problem-solving skills required to manage the logistics of a widely deployed system. Due to the growth of the program and the generally dynamic environment, solid communications skills (oral and written) are essential.

General Responsibilities:
  • Provide the customer with deep subject matter expertise in general project management and systems engineering processes
  • Support the management of system deployments and operations and maintenance
  • Work closely with system developers on management and integration of system enhancements, fixes and long-term maintenance
  • Work closely with system operators to ensure mission continuity and maximum capability
  • Oversee system inventory, unit swap out, preparations for shipment/deployment, software maintenance
  • Support system data output and delivery and data formatting
  • Support the customer in evaluating developer technical performance


Qualifications
  • Experience with SIGINT system design
  • Ability to work independently and act as the customer's representative with developers and outside organizations
  • Experience with the full system development lifecycle
  • Exposure to data analysis and enterprise data systems
  • Experience with terrestrial communications, data circuits and general networking
  • Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more experience; Master's and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience
  • Most currently hold a TS/SCI with Poly in order to be considered
