About the role
Our client is currently on Palantir Foundry. We're proposing to migrate them off Palantir and rebuild equivalent capabilities on Databricks. We need a senior, hands-on engineer who knows Foundry deeply enough to reverse-engineer what's been built, and can rebuild it on Databricks. This is a client-facing, high-visibility role, not a back-office dev position.
Must have
• 15+ years total experience needed
• Worked at Palantir as an FDE/FDSE/Deployment Strategist, or worked on the client side building on Foundry for a meaningful period (not just exposure)
• Hands-on with Foundry Ontology (object types, links, actions, functions), Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, and Workshop apps
• Strong Databricks experience: PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, workflows/pipelines
• Strong Python and SQL
• Has designed data models and translated business workflows into working applications
• Comfortable in front of client stakeholders: can run working sessions, explain trade-offs, push back when needed
Nice to have
• Prior Foundry-to-other-platform migration experience
• AIP / Databricks Mosaic AI, agents, or GenAI use cases in production
• Knowledge graph or semantic layer experience
• App-layer build experience (Databricks Apps, React, Streamlit)
• Manufacturing, retail, or product data domain background
