Summary

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex batch frameworks and enterprise scheduling systems to ensure reliable and timely data availability for critical business operations and decision-making
  • Support data warehouse change management infrastructure and oversee code/DDL promotion processes, including manual and automated deployments
  • Manage Linux security structures on ETL servers, including user access groups and sudo authorizations
  • Administer Teradata security and access controls
  • Conduct data architecture reviews and audits to ensure compliance with enterprise standards
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, workflows, and technical solutions
  • Provide support for escalated data warehouse troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to improve scalability and performance
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and effective use of enterprise data assets
  • Support and manage ETL workflows and integrations across multiple systems
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers as needed
  • Support patch management, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical platform issues
  • Perform data profiling and implement data quality assessment rules
  • Execute data cleansing and standardization using built-in and custom rules
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies
  • Lead migration efforts toward standardized/common warehouse frameworks
  • Conduct elevated access reviews and user audits to ensure compliance
  • Identify and remediate audit findings related to data systems and security

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Teradata experience
  • Experience loading data from multiple source systems
  • Experience providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support to development teams
  • Minimum 5 years of Linux experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Government or public sector experience
  • Experience with cloud-based BI tools

  • Team Environment: Collaborative team consisting of full-time employees and long-term contractors seeking a senior-level resource who can contribute immediately
  • Work Environment: Position will work closely with developers, leadership, stakeholders, and vendor teams on a daily basis
