Overview:

World Bank ITS is looking for a Liquidity Business Analyst to support liquidity risk and regulatory reporting initiatives within capital markets or treasury environments. The role will support the TANGO project team in designing, implementing, and validating liquidity-related reports as part of a transformation effort.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Analysis

• Analyze liquidity risk reporting requirements.

• Define scope, calculation logic, data inputs, and output structure.

• Document clear business and functional reporting requirements.

2. Reporting Logic & Documentation

• Review existing reporting methodologies.

• Identify transformation rules and aggregation logic.

• Document reporting logic in a structured format.

3. Data Analysis & Mapping

• Identify relevant source systems and data elements.

• Map and validate data from source to final report.

• Ensure complete traceability of reporting outputs.

4. Testing & Reconciliation

• Support testing cycles.

• Reconcile legacy vs. new reports.

• Investigate and explain reporting variances.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with Risk, Finance, and IT teams.

• Support workshops and validation sessions.

• Communicate reporting findings clearly.

Required Skills:

Technical:

• Strong understanding of liquidity risk and regulatory reporting.

• Experience in capital markets or treasury environments.

• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.

• Experience with financial reporting transformation.

• Knowledge of capital markets systems (e.g., Murex preferred).

Analytical:

• Strong reconciliation and variance analysis skills.

• Ability to trace report outputs to source data.

• Experience resolving reporting discrepancies.

Communication:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to explain financial concepts to technical and non-technical teams.

Project Management:

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams.

• Experience working in cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with structured project methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, IT, or related field.

• Proven Business Analyst experience in capital markets/treasury.

• Experience supporting complex financial reporting implementations.

• Strong documentation skills.

• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and reporting tools.
