Job Title: Senior Accountant (Operational Accounting)
Location: Cameron, Louisiana (Relocation support will be provided)
Duration: Full-Time (FTE, Permanent)

Job Description:
Role:
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Construction, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong operational support.
- Support operational accounting processes including:
- Commodities and warehouse inventory accounting
- Maintenance and operations cost reporting
- Safeguarding of facility assets
- Prepare, calculate, and record monthly accruals, journal entries, and adjusting entries within the SAP ERP system.
- Serve as the Accounting lead for inventory safeguarding activities and cycle count processes.
- Act as the onsite Accounting lead for capital projects and related fixed asset accounting activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses and reporting packages.
- Complete monthly account reconciliations, investigate variances, and submit reconciliations.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Accounting team to ensure operational activity is accurately recorded, reconciled, reviewed, and reported in accordance with monthly, quarterly, and annual close timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting required.
- 3+ years of accounting experience required; operational, manufacturing, energy, or industrial accounting experience is a plus
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification preferred
- Experience with SAP and/or other large ERP systems preferred
- Knowledge of construction project accounting and fixed asset accounting concepts preferred
- Strong understanding of internal controls, accounting processes, and financial reporting principles
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
